The opening round of the 2014 season will take place at the historic Monza circuit in Italy.

The Autodromo Nazionale Monza, located near the town of Monza just north of Milan in Italy, was built in the Royal Villa of Monza Park.   It is one of the fastest and most historic circuits on the calendar.

The major features of the main grand prix track include the Curva Grande, the Curva di Lesmo, the Variante Ascari and the Curva Parabolica.

The high speed curve, Curva Grande, is located after the Variante del Rettifilo chicane which is located at the end of the front straight or Rettifilo Tribune, and is usually taken flat out.  Drivers are on full throttle for much of the lap around Monza, due to its long straights and fast corners.
