P1 Motorsport has completed its first pre-season test with the new Formula Renault 3.5 car at Paul Ricard this week. The opening day of running at the French circuit was a busy one for the teams, who were essentially shaking down the brand new cars, particularly during the first half of the day.

P1 Motorsport has confirmed its driver line-up for 2012 - announcing that both Walter Grubmüller Jr. and Daniil Move will return to the Norfolk-based team to contest this year's Formula Renault 3.5 Championship.

P1 Motorsport suffered a troubled weekend in France, at the penultimate round of the 2011 Formula Renault 3.5 championship. Despite picking up some points in the first race, it was a double retirement for the UK-based team in the second race, and a disappointing way to go into the final round of the season in three weeks time.
